The 34th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, final race of the Champ Car World Series as a stand-alone series. Champ Car and the Indy Racing League will run as a unified series for the rest of 2008 and in the future. For more information, visit www. indycar.com.
WHEN:
Thursday through Sunday, April 17-20, 2008.
WHERE:
Downtown Long Beach streets surrounding the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center & encompassing the Aquarium of the Pacific and a portion of the Pike at Rainbow Harbor. Start/finish on Shoreline Drive. Circuit is 1.97 miles long with 11 turns.
ATTENDANCE:
The three-day weekend draws approximately 180,000 spectators, making it the largest paid spectator event in Southern California.
WHO:
Featured race is Sunday afternoon’s Champ Car World Series event, which features an international field of world-class drivers expected to include: Four-time Long Beach winner Paul Tracy, American hot shoe Graham Rahal, Justin Wilson, Will Power and Mario Dominguez.

Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race:
The 32nd edition of this fan favorite race features stars from the sports and entertainment worlds battling professional drivers in identically prepared Scion tCs. Race will take place midday on Saturday, April 19.
Cooper Tires Presents the Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda: Young drivers tackle the Long Beach race circuit in this exciting preview of open-wheel racing’s future stars. Race will take place Sunday morning, April 20.
American Le Mans Series:
The American Le Mans Series features the most technically advanced sports cars in competition. Big-name drivers, including Mexico’s Adrian Fernandez and American Bryan Herta, will compete in 2008. Practice and qualifying for ALMS will be held on Friday, April 18, and the race will run Saturday afternoon, April 19.
